Why businesses fail! Uncomplicate the business growth process now.

If the objective is to build, grow and even scale a business to big numbers, then every business owner needs to know/read this.

The fundamental reasons businesses fail, or don’t get where they want, has less to do with what you make sell or do, than you think and more to with the simple fundamentals they continue to miss!

There are primarily five CORE areas, that either are forgotten, just aren’t known, or people (business owners) don’t bother with because their product will carry them through (and it won’t). They are:

  1. The idea. What it is you do, but what makes it/you unique? If all you do is compete on price, you have a problem, because there's always someone, or someway, to get it cheaper!
  2. The brand and message. In most cases it’s confusing. You end up at a website, social media or even a sign, and the potential customer has no idea what they do, so walk past. (To your competitor)
  3. The marketing. It just isn’t done. A once a week post into organic Facebook just won’t cut it these days, and it’s not about digital alone anyway. It’s a combination of quality content, a good website, branding, message, print, and connecting with people, that in most cases is needed to make it all work.
  4. The sales process. I know you don’t want to hear it, but sales is a numbers game! Not everyone says yes. You need a structured, replicate-able sales process. At the very least, an elevator pitch, so you can start a conversation.
  5. The service system. The easiest way to build a business, is hang onto every enquiry, prospect, customer and client, and get them back and buying again. But here’s the problem, most never followup, so next time they go somewhere else!

There’s nothing complicated about business, or business growth, or scaling a business massively. Get the basics done, find out what works well, and do more of that!

There’s more obviously, planning, management, lead generation, systems, structure and training your team (including you) how to do it all better, but get the five CORE fundamentals right, and you’re more than half way there.
